Kupfergrube

The most famous of the 7 terroirs or VDP Grosse Lagen / “Grand Crus” of Gut Hermannsberg is the Kupfergrube where the estate is by far the largest owner with fully 12 hectares / 30 acres including all of the six massive terraces that form the core of the site. The view over them from our next to our new press house and outdoor lounge is one of the iconic images of Gut Hermannsberg and the dry Riesling Kupfergrube GG is the estate’s iconic wine! It is released at 5 years of ago, but is then still only a baby with decades of further aging potential!
