Nahe

In spite of being the home of Gut Hermannsberg and a handful of other producers that are amongst Germany’s finest, the Nahe region is much less well known than it’s best producers are. And this is no new situation, rather it has been like that for decades. The main reason for this is that its borders were only finalized in 1971. The region is named after the river that flows through it from East to West, finally flowing into the Rhine at Bingen where the Nahe, Rheingau and Rheinhessen regions meet.
