Monopole / Monopol

When an entire vineyard site is in the ownership of a single producer it is said to be their monopole, in German Monopol or Alleinbesitz. The most famous examples of this in the world are the Romanée Conti and the La Tâche Grand Cru of the Domaine de la Romanée Conti in Burgundy. Gut Hermannsberg also has two such sites, the Hermannsberg and the Rossel Monopol.
