Hermann Goedecke

Hermann Goedecke was the legendary director of the Nahe State Domain, now Gut Hermannsberg, from 1948-73 and again from March 1977- February 1978. It was during this period that the estate’s international reputation reached the highest level. This was the result both of the sensational quality and the way he grabbed the headlines and attention of leading politicians when the domain’s wines were served at state banquets and receptions.
