7 Terroirs name of Gut Hermannsberg’s most important winemight not be very romantic ring to it, but it tells you exactly what the wine is and this kind of directness and honesty is something we believe in very strongly. The estate’s 7 terroirsor VDP Grosse Lagen / “Grand Crus” are all steep sites with stony soils, 6 of them volcanic in origin, the other clay-slate. Although each of them gives dry Riesling wines with a different personality (terroir !), every wine from these vineyard sites has an intensely mineral character.
